Narwhal’s are not an endangered species.

Their official conservation status is “no concern”. This means that Inuit people like this man, and thousands of others in the Arctic circle, are allowed controlled amounts of hunting, for food purposes.

The whole affair is quite well regulated.

Thats just horrible to kill it simply because its 'valuable' or rare.
How would they like it if they were killed simply because they were rare.

I think all of the people that posted something on don't eat meat are right to an extent.
Maybe the man above needs the meet, maybe he doesn't. Not knowing that, WE CAN'T JUDGE HIM!!!
So please don''t get me wrong, I am strongly apposed to hunting in general, and I'm aware that that is kind of hypercritically, because I do enjoy eating meat.
BUT the only meat I eat is poultry and beef but that is organic meat that comes from animals that lived a good live...
But seriously ALL of us could think about eating less meat because firstly, it isn't healthy and secondly it isn't good for the environment...
How much beef have any of you eaten this week???
SELF-CRITICISM, ever heard of it???
So if you have reduced how much meat you eat, how much you CO2 you use, then you can criticize the mans killing of the whale (and when you know why he killed it)
BUT, and now these aren't facts anymore, because all of the above were facts, NOW THIS I ME WISHING THERE WAS SOME OTHER WAY TO LIVE THAN BY HUNTING!!!!!

This is a far more natural way to live, killing one whale to feed a whole village makes much sense to me than buying food that has grown up in inhumane situations, been shipped across the world and back, wrapped in non biodagradable plastics, pumped full of chemicals and then only 2/3 of it eaten? meanwhile the CO2 produced from all of this will be contributing to global warming, and not exactly doing the species of narwal as a whole, much good. If we all ate whatever swam or ran our way in sensible amounts, we'd be alot better off.

Do people not back read? Some people have some good points too. If you start churning out the same "Oh it's so cruel" drivel over and over for two years just gets annoying to tell those people some truths

If you feel strongly about a subject do some research before you enter a valid argument rather than just how you feel about the picture and some facts about it you made up in your head. I'm not too keen on animals dying but if people need it for food and they conserve properly who are you to judge? I very much agree with Eco Warrior's comment above.
